Capterra, established in 1999, is a online marketplace serving as an intermediary between buyers and technology vendors within the software industry. After 20 years the brand had equity, but didn’t reflect its leadership in the industry. We sought to celebrate the legacy of our brand while taking it into a new era that reflected its dynamic, friendly and entrepreneurial spirit.

Our mission was to reflect the brand’s digital-first mindset that creates a user/consumer-centric culture. It means constantly looking to improve the user experience and ensuring their needs drive everything. The brand identity system needed to be scalable to support the company’s growth while reflecting a premium brand positioning.
